Greetings, loyal subjects,
The Reign of Kings campaign is coming upon the first week mark, and the kingdom stands strong thanks to your support. Now, we want to take you deeper into the story behind the cards.
🖋 The Making of the Court Cards
Every figure in this deck was imagined as part of a greater kingdom. The Kings, Queens, and Jacks aren’t just royalty—they’re rulers, rebels, advisors, and warriors with secrets and ambitions of their own.
Each suit represents a different house or realm, with its own distinct personality. Every crown, sword, and cloak was illustrated by hand, then refined digitally.
🛡️ Stretch Goal Update:
Our second stretch goal - Metal Pins Add-on has been UNLOCKED!
Next up: T-Shirt Add-on
Once we hit the $25,000 this add-on will be unlocked.
📣 Spread the Story:
Let your allies know that this kingdom still welcomes new citizens! Share the project and help us unlock even greater treasures before the campaign ends.
Thank you for being part of this royal journey.

Secrets of the Kingdom — Behind the Scenes & Early Art

Greetings, rulers of the realm,
We're now a few days into the campaign, and the support has been amazing. Your passion for royal intrigue, ancient oaths, and beautiful craftsmanship is inspiring!
As a thank you, I wanted to give you a behind-the-scenes look at how Reign of Kings was created.
The Artwork:
Each court card was designed to tell a story—each King, Queen, and Jack is not just a figure, but a character caught in the politics of power. I've drawn from medieval fashion, weaponry, and symbolism to give these characters depth and life.
➡️ See early concept sketches below:
Also, for those who have asked, I have took the liberty of posting the numbered card art on the page as well as in this update:
Each numbered card in the Reign of Kings deck has been meticulously designed with elegance and symmetry at its core. Custom pips sit within richly textured, jewel-toned frames—evoking stained-glass windows found in the grand halls of the royal court.
🟥 Red suits feature emerald green backdrops for a striking contrast.
⬛ Black suits are framed in a noble sapphire blue, edged in gold.
From the 7 to the 10, every layout balances classic readability with royal refinement—making these cards equally at home on your game table or in your collection.
No court is complete without its jesters—and in the Reign of Kings deck, these two bring more than just laughs. Each Joker is fully illustrated with personality and flair:
The Crimson Fool, a chaotic trickster in motion, juggling fate with a grin.
The Teal Trickster, a scheming observer with secrets behind every smirk.
Set against a clean, minimal backdrop with ornate gold accents, these jokers are both whimsical and wicked—ready to tip the scales of any game or tale. Elegant. Expressive. Enigmatic. The Jokers add a flourish of courtly chaos to the realm
